驻华使节商务联盟与巴基斯坦联合银行签署战略合作协议

MOU signed between ECCAC and UBL

2022年3月4日下午，驻华使节商务联盟与巴基斯坦联合银行签约仪式在京成功举行。巴基斯坦联合银行首席代表法拉克·谢尔·扎尔先生,前任首席代表穆斯塔法·卡西玛尼先生及随行助理出席了本次签约仪式活动。驻华使节商务联盟也将以此为契机，充分发挥桥梁优势与纽带作用，积极响应“一带一路”倡议，推进联盟各国理事成员与巴基斯坦联合银行之间的交流与合作，实现共赢。

On Friday of March 4th 2022, the Signing Ceremony of strategic cooperation between ECCAC，Smart Ace International，Sole Operating Agency of ECCAC and UBL was successfully held in Beijing. Mr. Falak Sher Zaman, Chief Representative of UBL, Mr. Mustafa Kasman, former Chief Representative of UBL and the assistant attended the Signing Ceremony. With this strategic cooperation well established, both parties will open and activate a comprehensive and sustainable strategic in-depth cooperation in high-level under the “B&R” Initiative based on their own resources and advantages.

驻华使节商务联盟秘书长孙丽丽女士，联盟运营机构杰雅国际总裁王开先生代表联盟团队热情欢迎巴基斯坦联合银行首席代表一行的到访。巴基斯坦联合银行首代法拉克·谢尔·扎尔先生介绍了巴基斯坦联合银行的情况，双方将共享信息，并将各自的业务与中国和巴基斯坦的潜在对手联系起来，建立业务联系和交易。同时，双方将通过安排高层互访，推动中巴两国工商界关系发展，建立定期沟通协调机制，加强友好关系，促进两国在各个重要领域的共同繁荣与发展。UBL和ECCAC将在巴基斯坦为ECCAC的成员公司举办B2B和信息研讨会，与UBL当地公司合作，寻找潜在的商业机会。对于中巴友谊长期友好的往来，以及巴基斯坦国需要在商品、农业、技术等多方面更深的与中方合作，对于光伏发电以及装配式房屋的搭建方面期待与中方更多的企业达成有效的合作，巴基斯坦联合银行有优质的保障确保在巴基斯坦开展项目的安全和稳定性。

Both Ms. Lily Sun, Secretary General of ECCAC and Mr. Kevin Wang, President of Smart Ace International，Sole Operating Agency of ECCAC,expressed the warm welcome to Mr. Falak Sher Zaman, Chief Representative of UBL and his team colleagues. Mr. Falak Sher Zaman gave the brief introduction about UBL operation. Both sides agreed to share information and link up own businesses with potential counterparts in China and Pakistan to establish business contacts and reach the good transactions. At the same time, the two parties will promote the development of China-Pakistan business relations by arranging high-level visits, establish regular communication and coordination mechanism, strengthen friendly relations and increase common prosperity and development of the two countries in various important fields. UBL and ECCAC will host B2B and information seminars for ECCAC member companies in Pakistan, working with local UBL companies to identify potential business opportunities. As for the long-term friendly exchanges between China and Pakistan, and the need for Pakistan to deepen cooperation with China in commodities, agriculture, technology and other areas, UBL will provides the high quality service and assurance to ensure the safety and stability of projects implementation in Pakistan.

Yiling Pharmaceutical Limited, ECCAC business partner was invited to attend the meeting.The senior manager of International Dept of Yiling Pharmaceutical shared the information during the meeting for "Lianhua Qingwen Capsule”, the leading and innovative Chinese traditional medicine for the effective prevention and treatment against COVID-19 and explain the specific situation for the marketing in Pakistan. Both UBL and ECCAC team keep the great confidence to introduce this specific medicine into the market of Pakistan with the mutual solid collaboration and effort for the health of people of Pakistan.

China Business Initiative

At UBL, the China Business Unit currently housed under Corporate Investment Banking, which is playing a leading role in the Bank’s CPEC initiative. At present, UBL manages 100+ active Chinese relationships, offering a range of services including USD financing, guarantees, trade facilities, cash management, remittances, equity registration and project account services. UBL provides project finance, advisory and debt arrangement to Chinese led projects. One such milestone transaction includes the negotiation with China Development Bank (“CDB”) to arrange up to USD 300 M long-term financing facility which will be utilized to finance projects in the energy space. The first recipient of this facility was Siddiqson’s Energy – a 330 MW Thar Coal based IPP.
