Addressing the gathering, H.E. Mr. Fariz Mehdawi, Ambassador of Palestine remarked the need of more Chinese tourist to visit Palestine to comprehend the real situation in the country, and which could support and form more chances for better cooperation, cultural development, and investments.

Through the meeting, Mr. Majed Ishaq has a made a presentation on the tourism sector in Palestine and highlighted the country’s tourist attractions, such as religious travel to the Holy Land, Jerusalem, Aqsa Mosque, various Palestinian historical sites, culinary delicacies, stunning handicrafts, annual festivals or events, experiential tourism, four seasons, and the landscape, as well as the culture and the way of living in Palestine. Nevertheless, he also emphasis-ed the obstacles and challenges facing the Palestinian tourism development.

Essential cities in Palestine such as Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Hebron and Jericho are sacred and holy to the majority of humanity, because it is vital to the spiritual well-being of the adherents of the 2.2 billion Christians and 1.6 billion Muslims, as it is to 18 million Jews worldwide. Hotel Manager, Mr Benny Shohmedian heightened the importance of hospitality, tourism and infrastructure development, where Chinese Investor are welcomed to play an essential role in the Palestinian insights development and city modernization. Especially he stressed out the necessary and focused on the constructions of more hotels to accommodate further tourist and travels.

During the session, H.E. Mr. Fariz Mehdawi, Ambassador of Palestine warmly invited all Chinese friends to visit Palestine. He remarked that cooperation in several sectors, including tourism, can strengthen bilateral relations and encourage economic growth in both countries. Additionally, He stressed that tourism could aid as a means to boost economic progress and to generate jobs to improve the society’s welfare.

推介会结束前夕，巴勒斯坦驻华大使法里兹.马赫达维阁下向所有到会的中国朋友发出了访问巴勒斯坦的热情邀请。近几年越来越多的中国游客到巴勒斯坦旅游，欣赏当地特色风景，享受丰盛美食，感受巴勒斯坦人民的热情和好客。他意味深长地说，包括旅游在内的多领域合作不仅可以加强双边关系，而且可以促进两国经济增长。此外，他还强调，旅游业可以成为促进经济发展，创造就业机会和改善社会福利的方式。
